  <directions>
    <step>Cook sausage, onion, and garlic in a dutch oven over medium-high heat,
          stirring until the sausage crumbles and is no longer pink; drain and 
	  return to pan.
    </step>
    <step>Stir in beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, red wine, carrots, 
          sugar, and seasoning; bring to a boil.  Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes.
	  Skim off fat.
    </step>
    <step>Stir in zucchini and tortellini; simmer 10 minutes.</step>
    <step>Spinkle each serving with parmesan cheese.</step>
